How can you tell if it is professional and not amateur?
Guidelines for Professional Content Photos: Large photo shoots that look like they are taken by a professional photographer. Professional Models Videos: An interview in the beginning of a video clip A Camera Operator Perfect Lighting Talking To The Camera Close-Ups Distance Changes (camera moves) Different Angles Editing Basically, if you couldn't or wouldn't film it in the throws of passion then neither could they. That probably indicates it is professional and not amateur content.

well there are good chances of a third person. I usually can tell, but those so much of it in the video's it's getting way out of control. Maybe for every message a mod can put in red bold that it's verified or each section have a thread of the video's that are verified. Probably way too much work and I can't imagine the migraines over it. At least for the video's I've almost given up to not checking them anymore.

I encourage all members to let us know when you find something that isn't supposed to be posted here. Simply look for this symbol at the lower left of every post and click it. It asks you to describe the problem. All you need to do is write pro content or whatever. You don't need to write a novel. When we receive your report it gives us the exact location so all we need to do is click on the link and check out the problem and take appropriate action. Thanks

Yup, we always take a look at it and determine if we feel it needs to removed or not. If you report something and you're not sure about it you should say so and we'll be careful to check it out.

Going over your list....
I have shot a few - considered myself VERY fortunate for that by the way - and I used an additional light, mounting it just on top of the camcorder. Here is a photo of me shooting a still looking into a mirror. Note the light on the cam: ![]() Poor lighting is a major factor in a video not coming out very well. There are other factors as well, for me personally, that make practically 99 percent of the videos posted of no interest to me. I can elaborate further if anyone wishes to discuss. Yes, I will be posting some clips soon and you will see how much the 'non-pro' lighting helps. |

helps to have a slave flash too. have a pocket slave flash runs off a battery. called Xtralite That model seems to be dead. Got it at ol Porters (which I had no idea I'd be living a couple of miles from) works with digital cameras too. Just an extra flash. Was kinda hoping to find a cable release for my promaster but hasn't yet. (for um the shutter release on bulb shots. on a tripod during the night

That still camera is just a 'point and shoot,' nothing fancy. I shot that photo without the flash intentionally. Slowed the shutter down to about 1/4, I believe, and stayed VERY still.
![]() The lamp used for video is a 150 watt 'show and grow' (I think they still make them, bought it MANY years ago) inside an aluminum thing with a gripper clamp running on regular house current. It has kind of a reddish temperature hue but it's all I had and I knew how important it was to have plenty of light on the subject. Sample video grab: |
